“Servus Credit Union thrives because our branches are deeply rooted in the communities we serve,” explains Paul Wambolt, Branch Manager B/ Branch Compliance Manager.
As an I Can for Kids sponsor for two years, Servus Credit Union believes in investing time, energy, and money into the communities where they live and work in order to improve the quality of life in them. “As a member-owned credit union, it’s only natural that we help build up neighbourhoods by supporting worthy causes.”
Wambolt explains that members and staff were excited to once again collect peanut butter for kids this summer. “We are involved because we believe in the tremendous work that has been done by Sutton, Bobbi, the Foundation and their many partners to help end food insecurity in our community.”
Wambolt explains that as a child, after a day spent riding bikes and exploring his community with friends, a glass of lemonade or a sandwich was usually available to them. “While we were always grateful, looking back now, I believe that we often took those blessings for granted,” he says, “This is one reason why I support and share IC4K’s vision to help bring nutrition to every child in need in our community.”
In 2017, Servus Credit Union embraced a new purpose. “Our noble purpose helps us create resilient communities by focusing on what is best for our members and the communities where they live.”
“Our members and staff at Servus are truly honoured to partner with I Can For Kids on their noble journey to help close the food security gap in our community.”
